We are a couple of days away from Valentine’s Day! Which means it’s crunch time, to plan out that perfect Valentine’s date. Myriam and I have become experts when it comes to last minute planning! Actually not really, a couple of years ago on our first Valentine’s Day we were so busy with planning and working on a photo shoot that we ended up going to Chipotle for dinner. You luckily still have time to plan out the best Valentine’s date, here are 7 amazing ideas.
- A wine and painting class. Have fun and get creative and if you aren’t a Picasso that’s ok! You’ll get to bring out your creative side all while enjoying a glass of wine.
- Ladies, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach! So why not take a cooking class with him? You’ll see who the chef is in the relationship and who just likes to eat. Myr and I have always talked about taking a sushi making class simply because it’s something new and we both love sushi.
- Couples massage, this is probably one of the best things you can do in a relationship! Just relax and unwind with school, work, and life there are not that many situations where you can do something that is stress free and actually relaxes you. You guys will leave feeling energized and ready to take on the world like the power couple that you are.
- Have a flight, by this we mean go to a brewery and have a flight of beer. Since Valentine’s Day falls on a Thursday this year after the two of you get out from work or class go to a brewery. Leave the phone in the car and have a conversation all while enjoying some beer.
- Go on a real flight, now this idea is pretty up there….but if your adventurous enough, go on a real helicopter ride. If you’re from Chicago the views of the skyline will look amazing, this is definitely top on our bucket list.
- I am a Pisces and Myriam thinks that she is a real mermaid (not kidding she really thinks she’s a mermaid.) With that being said we have to recommend going to the aquarium on Valentine’s Day. One of our most memorable dates was at the aquarium we spent the whole day looking at dolphins, fish, and penguins. I also got to hear Myriam singing songs from the The Little Mermaid the whole entire day. One of my favorite photos that I have taken with Myr was from our aquarium date.
- Go to Chipotle, no we did not run out of ideas, and no we are not sponsored. Like I said earlier in this post the first Valentine’s Day I spent with Myriam was at Chipotle. I realized it didn’t matter that we weren’t at a fancy restaurant all that mattered was that I was spending Valentine’s Day with the girl that I love the most. Valentine’s Day is about who you spend it with, not how much you spend on that person.
This year we celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early! We went to Disney on Ice and it wasn’t as good as going to Disney World but it was the second best thing. Here are some of our favorite moments from that night.

We wore matching Lady and the Tramp shirts from Box Lunch.

We hope you guys enjoyed our ideas and have an amazing Valentine’s Day!
